Travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Christchurch is certainly a journey but flying Air New Zealand makes the trip go by in a breeze

Even though there's no direct flight from Malaysia, flying Air New Zealand via Singapore is so comfortable that you won't even stress the hours.

The journey to Christchurch includes two transits, the first in Changi Airport, then another in Auckland. The total travel time from check-in at KLIA 'til touchdown in Christchurch is approximately 20 hours.

It's long but soooooo worth it!

One of the perks of flying Air New Zealand is that you get Changi Transit Privileges when you land in Singapore

Just show your flight and passport, and you'll receive a S$20 transit reward to spend in Changi Airport!

With over 400 stores to shop from, you'll definitely be spoilt for choice. Whether you want luxury goods, fashion and retail, the latest tech devices, duty-free goods, Singapore souvenirs or snacks, you're guaranteed to find it here.

The great thing about the complimentary S$20 shopping voucher is that it expires the next year. So I decided to use it on my return journey to pick up a few boxes of chocolate to bring back to Malaysia.

Time passes really fast in Changi Airport. Before you know it, your gate is open and New Zealand is calling.

The Economy Skycouch is an innovative product of Air New Zealand and basically turns three seats into a bed. It's great for families with a young kid and couples.

For a solo traveller like me, it was an absolute dream y'all! There's bedding, blankets, and pillows. I could lie flat, totally stretch out, and sleep comfortably.

Flying home on Air New Zealand's Premium Economy is dope AF

It's easy to see why Air New Zealand's Premium Economy is award-winning. You're in a separate cabin with dedicated crew. There's loads of personal space with extra leg room.

And you get two pieces of checked luggage (up to 23kg each), which is great because you'll probably be bringing home loads of goodies from your holiday in New Zealand!

All the little extra touches, like the complimentary amenity kit, really makes the journey home so much more enjoyable

The menu includes really delicious meals such as New Zealand beef cheek with glazed sweet potatoes in a dark soy jus

With the Muslim Meal, I got to enjoy baked salmon and couscous salad as a starter, followed by a flavourful meat curry and rice as the main course. (And loads of garlic bread with olive oil!)
